I installed a Jardine Rummbler on my '87 Savage about 5 months ago and yes it does discolor. It has about 4 inches of the front of the muffler that has turned a light brown, I was told I could use a blue remover to take the color out which I haven't tryed but if it doesn't work or it comes back I plan on fitting it with a chrome heat shield that will cover the front of of the muffler.
